Bud Bite

Early this morning I found this squirrel eating the buds off our fragile Chinese Maple tree on the front lawn. I thought great blip (smile moment) and then after snapping a few shots I let him know how annoyed I was ...he got the message and scampered off.

How many times have you been excited about a new idea or plan only to have your budding creation snuffed out? That's all I could think of as I saw the nibbling going on outside my front window. Here's my little tree budding with new life, new creation, only to be abused by a hungry squirrel.

The bud bite event only reminds us all of the fragility of our creations when we dare to bare our souls.
