Doggone it!

The weather turned foul this afternoon but it seems Canterbury hasn't been as badly affected as the rest of the country. It's been bad enough here for a couple of weeks or more though and we're all heartily sick of the grey and the wet. Doggone it!

This dog was one of the most athletic and speedy canines that I've ever seen - including my husband's sheep dogs when we were on the farm. An intrepid rock climber, this tyke was giving the birds the hurry up, which included surfing the waves while chasing after them! Most impressive. He was definitely a gone dog most of the time, causing his owner much frustration. The image was taken around the rocks around Cave Rock.
