Farewell friend

Di's family carefully carried the ashes from Australia. Friends of 40 years and more gathered. Local hut owners walked to the meeting point. Seagulls swooped. The sun shone brightly. Husband and children negotiated the rocks to the lower levels and privately cast her ashes to the waves. This much loved and respected ex Mayor of Dorchester, faithful wife, devoted mother,proud grandmother and very dear friend was grieved within sight of her beloved Dizhut under the shadow of Portland Bill Lighthouse, where she had spent long hours of happiness. We shall miss her..... and she will be wild that she missed the beer at the pub afterwards!
