The Garden House, at Buckland Monochorum
One of my most favourite gardens. This is a beautiful garden steeped in history set in Devon. The 10 acre garden is several gardens in one, including a walled garden, acer glade, cottage garden, bulb meadow amongst many other things. In the spring it is superb, but equally the unusual plants make a summer and autumn garden delightful to visit too.
No doubt you will see more of this garden as the year progresses as we are members of the garden house, and can visit as many times as we like!!
There is also a lovely tea house, serving all sorts of delicious food. Who wouldn't want to go there. And from our house we travel across Dartmoor to get there, hence the picture of one of the dartmoor ponies.
So the pictures are as follows- a shady path moving up towards the buildings. The Silver Birch tree showing its stupendous bark, The Acer Glade, and of course the lovely little Dartmoor Pony. Hope you enjoy them. Call into Vectensian's journal and you will probably see something different to mine. He was complaining that I was pinching all of his shots!!!!
