Gently down the stream

Springtime black and white blues

I have to say, I think bluebells are a mighty odd subject to blip in mono, but for some reason colour here just didn't work. So I decided to check out mono and this was the result.

The bluebell belongs in Crab Wood, a very lovely piece of old coppicing woodland just outside Winchester. Last summer the trees were thinned with the result that now the wild flowers are even more spectacular than usual. Not just bluebells, but masses of wood anemones, violets and primroses, together with arum lilies, dogs' mercury and even a few campions just beginning. Oh, I do love this time of year!

Enjoy the evening, folks xx
