Blackness Castle with Ben Lomond in the distance

One of those glorious days when I abandoned all hope of desk-bound work and headed out for a walk. Discovered Abercorn Church in West Lothian, where you can park and walk to the foreshore of the River Forth then wander through delightful woods in the direction of Blackness and Bo'ness beyond. It's on Cycle Route 76 and the soon-to-open John Muir Way.

I had intended crossing the river and walking around Limekilns, but there was a fuel spillage on the Forth Bridge and the traffic was backed up. Delighted that I found an alternative walk.
