Sunrise, Hatherton Branch Canal

Despite the technical difficulties of this image I was drawn to post it as I loved the confluence of the position of the sunrise and the line of the canal at this point.

Again shooting 'contr-jour' this is a 3 image HDR with 2 stops between exposures. It still took some work to try and make it look even half natural. It will never cease to amaze me at the ability of the eye to resolve detail in a scene like this. Maybe one day camera lenses will have an aperture like our eyes' iris. Or maybe we won't need cameras as the views we see can be 'downloaded' directly from our brains. Nothing would surprise me these days.
