Black oil beetle enjoying lunch!
This morning we went for a 6 mile walk round the end of the Lleyn penisular. It was absolutely beautiful. The verges and hedgerows were full of primroses, violets, bluebells, campion and much more. We saw 2 adders several newts, chuff in abundance, nesting gulls and loads of other birds. Then I saw this oil beetle which proceeded to chomp its way through a whole celendine petal before scurrying off!
We drove to a pub for lunch and then walked another coastal path which was 5 miles and very scenic too.
We arrived home at 7.30pm after a great 2 days away!
