A Barn Owl In Flight

I ought to dispel any impression of me lying low in the grass for hours on end in wait of this gorgeous predator bird to come out hunting. No.
This was part of a flying demonstration at the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Hampshire. I can't recommend the experience enough, very educational and entertaining indeed.
The gentle glide of the owl allowed for a fairly decent capture in flight unlike the astonishing dives of the falcon, where my amateur lens seemed to be taking half a century to focus.
