THE WEATHER:

This is a photo taken down the drive just to show you how dry it is. You can tell by the leaves on this rhodo it is clearly stressed out. While the rest of the country has taken a battering, here we have had no rain. I think Wanaka is like an inverted 'Y' . You can see it pouring at the head of the lake, but as it comes down the handle, it divides, missing us out & goes round the hills. That's how it was this morning.

I always read A Cycling Granny's journal & I am amazed when she records a shower, whilst I've had none. I am only 3km north, from the town centre but I think she must cop it when the weather sweeps down the Cardrona Valley ?

I apologise for this dissertation on the weather, but it is absolutely amazing we are missing out on the appalling weather the rest of the country is having to cope with. Another grey day but NO WIND, NO SUN, & NO RAIN !
