No nose
This carving, of what seems to be a medieval noble person, on the now closed St James' Church in Wardle, seems to have had his/her nose removed. "How does he/she smell?" I hear you ask.
It was a beautiful day for a walk. The tiny Wardle Village Green looked great in the sunshine. I resisted the temptation to enter The Globe Inn to complete a two hour walk, on which I narrowly avoided walking on a butterfly, which my Complete Guide to British Wildlife tells me is a Peacock.
