Egretta garzetta

Or, in English, the Little Egret. Isn't he gorgeous? I spent some time at Elmley Marshes nature reserve watching birds and there were plenty to watch. A handful of these guys, a good number of lapwings and they were displaying which is fantastic to watch, lots of swans, coots and cootlings (I don't know if that's the proper name for their young but it should be), oyster catchers and in the distance a couple of marsh harriers. A smashing way to enjoy a bank holiday.

PS - This badger works well in large
