"Bill Viola" surveyed his videos since his career began in 1977, with about two dozen installations. It was very intriguing; I had seen his works only occasionally, and never more than one or two at a time. A retrospective of Robert Mapplethorpe's photographs also covered his entire career (sadly ended by his death from AIDS in 1989).

Today's my birthday--I've already had Skype calls from two of my sons, including a long one from Len (with Ella on his lap).
