Cover of ice

It's been relatively warm recently. A ditch in a nearby forest has a partial cover of ice. I guess the snow that gathered on top of it kept it from melting even though it's been above freezing for quite a while. Theres' maybe 10-20 cm/4-8 inches between the cover of ice and the water flowing below. Even though the cover of ice covers only about half of the ditch/brook, it's still about 5 cm/2 inches thick. I stuck the camera down there to see what it looks like under/at the level of the cover of ice.
