Eerie

I don't like crape myrtles. They are non-native, provide no wildlife value, and are vastly overused around here. Still, when they bloom, they look spectacular. Imagine my surprise, when I noticed that a huge number of them has been so unfortunately trimmed around the town. Why not wait till after they bloom???
