Canal Barge Rescue, Chorley

My Blip today was going to be a sunny spring flowering tree until a very good friend of mine called me to let me know of the drama unfolding on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal today.
A canal Barge had to be rescued following the failure of one of the canal lock gates leaving the stricken barge grounded on the lock cill.
