Thank God it's Friday
Woooohooooooo
I have a band rehearsal tonight. I am looking forward to it. It has been a strange week. But it's over. Yay and tonight the fun of a vocal rehearsal and figuring out harmonies and laughing and having a wicked good time.
Last night we went to dinner. Cole Farms has been around forever in Gray Maine. It was a diner but now it's just a big restaurant where the food is down home and comfort hence...... New England boiled dinner.
It was while eating said dinner that the children in the booth behind me started to act up. Why does a parent allow a child to cry and scream in a restaurant all the while pleading with them to please be quiet. One look from my mom. She didn't have to hit or threaten. Just one look.
Worked like a charm every time.
I also think that if your child kicks the booth they are sitting in right behind you, they should not get desert.
Let me clarify, if you have well behaved children, I will spend all afternoon with them. If they throw a tantrum in public or speak freshly to you, I don't know how to react. So I will walk away.
This weekend I am going to finish up cleaning my room. I am unsuccessful in obtaining Amtrak tickets to Boston on Monday. I really want to go and meet Paula Banks (dogBlog). Cheering her as she crosses the finish line this year was a goal of mine. This may not be a reality. There are a lot of restrictions for spectators. One can not even carry a camera bag everything has to be in clear plastic bags. The security is going to be crazy.
My nieces were there last year. Right there. They are not staying in Boston. They are coming home. For some this will take some time. Until then, Boston Strong!
In the mean time they are restricting trips to the summit on Everest. Thank God or my sister would be signing us up for that!
Have a great Friday night or Saturday day!!!!
This is going to be an awesome weekend!
