Rough tax day yet.

Today I had the surgery I have been putting off for years! I knew it was going to hurt and I was going to be miserable for the first few days. I had underestimated the misery. This picture was taken by my sweet husband/caregiver. It is not a staged picture at all! I was still feeling pretty drowsy and nauseated from surgery and having swallowed so much of my own blood. I was pretty miserable. Thanks to pain medication, I was able to sleep at times during the night.

The mustache dressing on my nose was to catch the drippings. This way I didn't have to keeping wiping my super tender nose.

The surgery I had was a septoplasty and turbinate reduction. The airway passage through my nose was so narrow, it was getting harder to breath. It was starting to affect all kinds of things, such As sleep and exercise. So, I got big girl panties on and had surgery.

I will let you know in a few weeks if it was worth it.
