Old story

There were a small play on evening at the city parks (happening was divided several pieces and people had to walk about half mile to see all parts of it). It was story about what one guy and his friend did couple of years ago on easter time. Live wasn't easy on past, thought. What happened there was written down first about 30 years after and some other, a little different versions, later. Those stories was named after who wrote them, not the main character of the story. Isn't that a little confusing?
