The world and his wife. . .

This is a back blip as yesterday was pretty full. The world and his wife decided to go to The Lake District as it is the start of the 4 day weekend. The traffic from Windemere to Ambleside was so slow and stop-start that a last minute decision to pull off the road and into a lakeside hotel "closed for a private function" turned out to be one highlight of the day. This is a photo of my friend lying on one of the jettys there enjoying the sun. A really lovely and memorable day punctuated by a seemingly large, dramatic, blood red moon with a smiley face on it.

Hoping the drive back south today will be kind to me.
