Gokoku-ji

This row of statues was taken at Gokoku-ji, a Buddhist temple in Tokyo. It was declared the Imperial mausoleum by Emperor Meiji in the late 19th century and remains so until today. Both Emperor Meiji himself as well as several of his children are buried there.
