Trams on a pedestrianised street

This central shopping street in Linz had no cars, but had trams going in both directions. This didn't bother the pedestrians in any way (note outdoor cafe) and there were no traffic fumes.

I preferred the older trams in both Linz and Vienna, because I hate it when they put advertising on tram exteriors, as they tend to do on the newer sets.

I really, really hope we do not ruin our trams with giant adverts in Edinburgh. Trams are NOT billboards!
