Earthquake!

We experienced a major earthquake this morning in our corner of the world. Centered less than 100 km south and registering 7.2 of the Richter Scale, this quake shook our area for about 30 seconds. I was out paddling on the Bay and heard the loud boom, but experienced none of the rockin and rollin that those in the complex did. When I returned, however, the damage was clearly evident: from fallen roof tiles as shown here to chipped floor tiles and lots of broken concrete (more photos on my Facebook page). The rest of the day was spent cleaning up the messes, including fixing three water leaks in our building (difficult finding a leak in concrete walls). No one hurt and only minor damage to structures, at least at our end of the beach.
