Edinburgh in December

I almost forgot how good Edinburgh is in December. The city centre was understandably busy today what with it being a week until Christmas.

I had a walk through the German Market not long after it turned dark and saw many people enjoying the additional rides and ice skating that you get only in December. The atmosphere was amazing.

Coming from Aberdeen originally I don't remember seeing anything as remotely interesting as that up north. It was always more of a chore to walk along Aberdeen's Union Street in December with the poorer choice of stores and general poorer atmosphere.

It's days like today I am particularly glad I moved to Edinburgh.

I very rarely submit to blip, however this doesn't mean I have given up on the site. I am currently cameraless and only able to use blipfoto in my iPhone. Hopefully I'll have a new camera and be in a better position with amount of time I have in 2010 to submit more often.
