A Castle and a Hall

BB and I headed off to Warkworth Castle and did some exploring followed by a wander round by the river and back through the village. It’s a great castle for exploring, with lots of rooms and secret staircases.

We then picked a happy Tiger up from the station and headed to Howick Hall. We had lunch in the excellent tea room and walked round the gardens and arboretum. The sun was out and we were sheltered from the chilly wind. A really lovely afternoon. It felt like spring at last.
