Loch..... Mountain........rock!!!!
What a day!!!
We left home at 10am and drove up Loch Lomondside, and on up to Glencoe. Passed Loch Ba just after the Black Mount and stopped to take some photographs. It was magical!!!
On to Glencoe and took millions of photographs, the day was fine, warm and sunny and the glen was very busy, a lot of foreign tourists who were very appreciative of the spectacular views of the Three Sisters, Buachaille Etive Mor, Bidean, and the other mountains in the glen.
We drove on down to the village of Glencoe, and visited the monument to the Massacre of Glencoe in 1692 when the Campbells killed the MacDonalds. We have long memories!!!! While there a bridal couple arrived for photographs there, the groom being a MacDonald! So we, the bridal couple and some Dutch tourists had a great blether!
Drove back through the Glen, picking up a hitch hiker who was going to Arrochar; we could take him as far as Crianlarich, so we did. He had been climbing the Aonach Eagach and had a good day. He did well as it is the narrowest ridge walk on the British mainland.
After dropping him off we continued down to Callander and had a fish tea there, as we were starving by this time. And so home!
What a day!
Good viewed in large mode. Have added a photograph of the The Three Sisters of Glencoe my Blipfolio.
