Her daily bread ...

... recipe, that is. My very good friend C has been visiting from her home in Canada. We have been friends since we were both 13, a while ago, and have stayed close while she has lived on three continents. She comes across regularly to see her mum, who is a sprightly 90-something and lives nearby.

During her visit C had a cooking fest to stock her mum's freezer with meals and good bread. She made me a loaf too, and I enthused over the delicious taste and quality. So as a parting gift she gave me a big pack of ingredients and the recipe. It involves three different kinds of flour and far more yeast than I would normally put in bread - tablespoonfuls rather than teaspoons. This is the first time I've used it. It certainly won't be the last!
