Captain Gordon McLaren looking amazingly fresh after a 5,000 mile voyage from the Clyde to Walvis Bay, Namibia.

Gordon skippered the former Royal Navy support vessel now named Jubilee Hope on the first part of its journey which will end in Mombasa in Kenya where the ship will be broken in two and transported overland to Lake Victoria where it will be reassembled and act as a hospital ship.

The project is run by The Vine Trust a Scottish based international charity which seeks to make a real difference to some of the poorest children and communities in the world.
