Happy Returns.......!

We returned to the Olympic Park today which is now open to the public and the flags looked fantastic, making the most of the cold wind. Share it, Discover it, Enjoy it is the message! And we did! Much is the same but there are also many innovations, mainly for children. Incredible adventure playgrounds with rope walks between trees and zip wires for fearless youngsters, kept Oliver and Sophia very happy.

We were able to visit the Lee valley Velopark and watch cyclists 'climb the wall' as their pace increased. We shall have to return to visit the aquatic centre, the athletic stadium and the hockey pitch.

The Westfield shopping centre was very busy but it took second place today. We had a much better time away from the shops.
