Cumbrian Sheep
Thursday night was extremely cold and although I was wearing three layers in a thick sleeping bag with a fleece blanket, I could still feel the chill creeping in. I think even Basil felt it.
No point lying in bed with such a beautiful morning, so resolved to try and find Eel Tarn, Basil and I set off before 7 am to climb the fell in search. The effort certainly warmed us up and it couldn't have been a more glorious light.
Once we reached the footpath leading off from the road to the farm, we came across these sheep. Very attractive they look too with their warm woolly coats. They need them at that altitude.
