light in darkness

was contemplating about life today ... one of those poignant times in life when you get some glimpses of clarity. while out on a walk with the wife, i happened to comment how i didn't like the hazy light. i wanted to capture some golden light shining across this picturesque meadow, but unfortunately, all i got was a hazy, muted sunset. when i reviewed my shots later on, none of the shots i took looked good to me ... until i converted them to black and white. instead of the picture perfect shot i was envisioning, what i got instead was something quite unexpected. then something clicked and it all made sense. life isn't picture perfect. it is often hazy and uncooperative and even disappointing. but if you can learn to see things in a different light, there is hope in the midst of the darkness.
