Canada's largest traveling carnival operator is in town for the weekend. They are all set up in the corner of the Aberdeen Mall parking lot. There's the kiddie rides, the midway games, the spectacular rides, the popcorn, candied apples, the corn dogs, the candied apples.....
West Coast Amusements has been touring since 1962. They employ approximately 350 people in their four units which travel all over western Canada and Washington State. Often the carnival is attached to some other big event like an exhibition, fair or rodeo. In some communities, WCA partners with groups like the local food bank or hockey association to assist them in their fund raising.
WCA is a family owned and operated business. They pride themselves in their state-of-the-art equipment and their great safety record.
Unfortunately for the crowd, this has not been the best weekend for outdoor entertainment. It's still a bit chilly and gray.
