Very Good Friday

Amazing.

First day of the Bank Holiday weekend (not to mention Hutch's birthday) and there's not a cloud in the sky!

We've had a lovely day, starting with presents for Hutch before heading off to Ambleside to see her family (including our ridiculously gorgeous niece).

The fine weather continued throughout the day, so after a roast pork lunch we headed down to the lake through Borrans Park for a bit of a walk. It gave m'boy a chance to throw a great many stones into Windermere. Like the majority of children out there he delighted in the sound of the stones hitting the water.

We carried on round and walked around the fort ruins and along the river for a bit when round the bend the sight above greeted us (located in the shadow of Loughrigg). It's obviously a stunning spot in which to live anyway, but the weather today just took it up another notch.

We returned home happy and tired (evidenced by falling asleep in front of The Killing: season two)!!
