Home sweet home.....

Whilst pottering in the garden the other day I noticed this wasp nest attached to one of the bushes.....a paper wasp apparently.

Today, one of the wasps was tending to whatever needed to be tended to all alone. Makes me wonder whether it might be the queen......

It struck me that it may well have been one of Her Majesty's cousins I trod on the other week - and received a nasty sting for doing so :(

I should probably get rid of the nest but I read that paper wasps are often considered beneficial for the garden - unless the gardener steps on one I guess!
