Boonah Mouth Organ Band Heritage

Another screen shot this evening and very last minute...although not specifically designed for Easter, I was looking for a musical blip.

Boonah is a town in the south east of Queensland. I found the Boonah Mouth Organ Band concert programme in 1993 in Cairns in a North Queensland second hand shop. It was bundled with a concert programme dated Friday, February 28, 1936 from Kalbar ...a town according to Google Maps 9 minutes away from Boonah.

Although the BMOB programme is not dated we can be confident it is in the range of 1936-1937 from a small amount of research I have been able to do that reveals an active social life in Boonah and its surrounding villages helping keep the district Ambulance service going.

I would very much have liked to attend the Boonah Mouth Organ Band concert.
