Clouds and the moon

Clouds passing in front of the moon - one of those things that looks great but is quite hard to capture in a photograph - I think probably because of the relative difference between the bright moon and the much dimmer highlights of the clouds, so that one or the other can be correctly exposed but not easy to get both. I resorted to using a ND filter at night, which is a first, and then the issue becomes one of getting the fast-moving clouds looking reasonably sharp..
