No water sports

Took lots of nicer shots today with the glorious weather but decided to go with this bit of local news. This is the burned out shell of the Lochearnhead water sports centre which went up in flames last week, and still smells of burned wood. It's been a fixture of Lochearnhead for at least 20 years and went through various phases of success and failure like many businesses do up here depending upon the enthusiasm and talents of the owners and the economy. At it's best the west end of the loch was busy with water skiers and others and the place had a real buzz. Sometimes they did skiing lessons at cut prices for the local kids and birthday parties with a highlight of being pulled around the water on an inflatable sausage. It's been struggling under the current climate for quite a while now and it's a pity to see it reduced to this.
