Mini-orchid

Best I could do today – spotted this tiny orchid on a shrub in a tub as we arrived at the golf club and took three quick shots with my mobile. This is the only one that was even half decent.

Stayed down in Rio yesterday so HH could catch up on some work and was ready to burst with claustrophobia by the time we finally broke out of the house to go out for a meal around 9 pm. The lights and movement and cheerful crowds, not to mention an excellent steak and some beer, soon restored my good humour. The gelato on the way home completed the job.

Today we had nice clear run up to the hills to meet our ‘roofer’ and buy all the materials for our new r-Ooof – now there was a pretty penny. That done, we repaired to the golf club and found that despite the tradition of eating fish at Easter, the new chef had produced a large, succulent leg of pork, so two happy heathens sat down for an early lunch before dragging ourselves round all of five holes. Such a beautiful, clear afternoon called for at least a small effort.

It was dark by the time we got home, so the dogs didn’t get a walk (not a good place for walking around at night). Pepsi’s greeting was ecstatic, all the same, and she didn’t stop talking for twenty minutes. At that point, Kayla was released from the run, we barricaded ourselves in the house and the two off them raced off to check out the neighbourhood.
