Up, up and away

Early evening flight to Bodrum to spend the weekend at my holiday home near Akbuk. Left sunshine in Istanbul at 6.30pm and arrived at the flat in torrential rain around 9.00pm. Ho ho ho. Feels rather chilly as I wander round the flat marvelling at things I had forgotten about - found an unopened bag of walnuts and a jar of marmite - and the caretaker's lovely wife brought me a cup of tea and plate of cookies within less than five minutes of arriving! I am very glad to be here, even though it is only for the weekend - first time I have been back since 23 August 2013. Looking forward to seeing the Aegean tomorrow.
