here we are celebrating gran's 90th birthday in dumbarton! it was great to see gran and her lovely new flat, she seems to be settling in nicely. we continued celebrating across the road from the restaurant later in our hotel room, the kids were excited to be staying in a hotel.

it was such a sunny day - on the way down we tried to see the kelpies in falkirk... they've only just been launched and are barely open. we got to see them, but from a distance as we ran out of time. I'd like to go back when the novelty has worn off slightly, with less folk and at night when they're lit up. if you haven't seen or heard of the kelpies, watch the amazing video of their construction here.

quick trip to ikea to stock up on frames too...has to be done :/
