And now for something completely different. ....
A break from church, computers and expensive holiday activities was required. So despite many of us having been up for Dawn Services, we got Miss C to lead us on 7km stretch of the surf coast walk. That ticks off another part of her cub scout Grey Wolf award. The mums had planned to cook sausages on a barbie or gas hotplate for dinner, but the more ambitious chap here brought a fire pit. So the kids were encouraged to collect firewood, as my Mstr A is demonstrating. In a relatively quiet car park in Anglesea, the kids and I got a fire glowing. Then all 12 of us sat on rugs, eating our sausages rolled up in flat bread, illuminated by curious passing cars, and sipping our red wine !
It was a lovely end to a good weekend.
