Basking

A sunny day and look what happens. I noticed the larger turtle first and then later saw the smaller one. (Really shows how much I pay attention to my surroundings haha) The large one plopped back in the water first, I believe the smaller one never moved. It was enjoying the sunshine too much :)

The large turtle looks to be a snapping turtle. Not my favorite turtle. I'm not sure what type of turtle the little one is.
