Tulips in Seattle

Nice to be back to Seattle and my own bed! I promise less words this week! Need to recover from our first great successful grandchild trip!

My favorite flower-tulips -look a bit the worse for wear - they did get dug up to put in the sprinkler system and there was a storm. but nothing like last year. However I need to record them…in watercolor….
Does one really have to plant new bulbs every year? (Advice appreciated!)
