Our Grand Day Out

A grand day out on Grandad E's boat today with friends L, B & R. This is my son P & his mate R after helping out on two locks on the way to the Shroppy Fly in Audlem. Had an ace time nattering, drinking, catching the sun, drinking, eating, drinking and playing cards. Mr & Mrs Tuttle had the most amzing (mega chunky)chips at the Shroppy Fly for late lunch. Will be returning for more soon!
Despite the time of year and nice weather today L & myself didn't catch a glimpse of the Kingfisher/s that is/are known to hover around this stretch of the canal. There were plenty of other photo oppertunities though as seen here.

L, B & R headed home late on while we stayed over for a night. Nice to have a TV-free day for a change, thought his didn't stop us from using wi-fi occasionly for the footy results evey now & then!
