A first birthday party

It was my Aunty Mary's birthday party today... the first birthday party she's ever had... and she's waited 80 years to do it ...

All that time spent planning, and building up to it was well worth while as it's been a great and rare opportunity to bring everyone together... and she looked fantastic basking in the glow from her balloons

to quote Aunty Agnes... in our family "we like a gutsy lady" :-)
