Displaying Mallard

I was feeding the water fowl on our pond while the GOG was photographing a family of Coots when this male Mallard decided to show off in front of his female, she does not look at all attracted to him. These two are Jeremy and Jemima and they have not had any ducklings. Until recently there was always another female, Jessica, with them and all three used to spend their days together in the garden. Maybe she is sitting on eggs or maybe something has happened to her; if she returns with ducklings I am unlikely to be able to identify her.

Another day of not doing very much, but then it is a Bank Holiday in the United Kingdom and there is another busy week ahead. The weather is sunny, although it looks as though it might rain before the end of the day.
