Autumn colours in Twizel
Finding ourselves a day ahead of where we expected to be, we mosied on down to the canals for an early fish.
But unlike Thursday when I caught this fella there wasn't much action today. Fishing is a funny thing. The barometer was falling on Thursday and the fish were madly feeding. Today was bright, sunny and warm and they weren't interested in much.
I mixed fishing in with a trip back to town to go to church and fetch coffee, later I took a long walk along the canal. Boy, I spotted some fish cruising the edges for cockabillies or chasing each other in spawning behaviour.
Twizel isn't short on autumn colours
Later dinner out with friends of the fisher/hunter, then an hour on the canals with the company of a the Milky Way and several other galaxies sparkling above us, and a waning moon rising to the east.
Magic.
