On the Road

As the song says:
"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go....."
I'm heading out to Malawi to work for the next three weeks. I've been going out since 2011 to do work for a small Scottish charity called Dochas. ( the Gaelic word for hope. ) I'm doing in-service training with primary school teachers to enable them to upgrade their qualification from a very basic 1 year training to a Diploma in Primary Education. ( this was the kind of work I did in the Uk before I retired). It is a 3 day journey to get there so today I'm flying to Schipol airport and will spend the night there before the long flight to Jo'burg tomorrow.
I should have internet access from time to time out there and I'll do my very best to put up an interesting blip each day, but I may not always be able to comment on others' journals. Please understand if you don't see my name popping up in your comments list every day.
I'm always a bit apprehensive when beginning this journey- so many expectations are riding on it and I am anxious too do well. Hopefully all will be well.
