It turned out my quiet day yesterday was partly due to forgetting to turn the sound back on my mobile phone. Ooops. Several missed calls and texts from both older children which I didn't notice until bedtime. Minor mummy guilt ensued...

Anyway, motherly duties dispensed with early on, Husband and I headed to Birling Gap to walk the pups on the beach and downland. Headed over to Seaford to eat fish and chips sat in the car watching the rain fall on the sea. Home to find Alice's day out had been cancelled so she had cleaned the kitchen and hoovered downstairs. Result!
