Sad goodbyes

Here is Annie with 'Ian' the octopus. He was bought for Arthur when he was born by old family friends Joy and Ian. He was Arthur's favourite baby toy and had to be attached to Arthur's car seat wherever we went. He now has the same friendly attachment to Annie.

It is with extra poignancy that he features in the photo today as we learnt this morning that our dear family friend Ian has tragically passed away after a short illness.

He will be terribly missed. Tonight the heavens have gained an extra star. It is large and jolly and shines extra brightly.
